What we are witnessing today with the failure of the leaders in America to protect the American people from the cronyism that has taken place is completely unprecedented. Not only have they failed to protect the American people, they have themselves participated in this cronyism. But what is even more horrific is that the American press is participating in this cronyism. Never before was this more evident than during the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. As America watched the debates they saw Lester Holt running interference for Hillary Clinton. During the debate this form of cronyism was the worst form of treason that a free press could inflict on the American people. This is socialism at its worst. The history of what happened in Germany tells us exactly where we are headed if this is not stopped. Millions and millions of people died at the hands of a political group that sought ultimate power. Those that stood in their way were destined to be executed by those who used their power to destroy anyone who would stand against them. The press was used as a tool to spread their propaganda and to justify their actions, I have stated multiple times that America is becoming a Proverbs 1 nation.

The Beginning of Knowledge

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

² To know wisdom and instruction,
To perceive the words of understanding,
³ To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;
⁴ To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
⁵ A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
⁶ To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
⁷ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Shun Evil Counsel

⁸ My son, hear the instruction of your father,
And do not forsake the law of your mother;
⁹ For they will be a graceful ornament on your head,
And chains about your neck.

¹⁰ My son, if sinners entice you,
Do not consent.
¹¹ If they say, “Come with us,
Let us lie in wait to shed blood;
Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;

The Call of Wisdom

²⁰ Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
²¹ She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
²² “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
²³ Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
²⁴ Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
²⁵ Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
²⁶ I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
²⁷ When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

²⁸ “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
²⁹ Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
³⁰ They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.
³¹ Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
³² For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
³³ But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

The first few verses talks about obtaining wisdom and understanding. But the last few verses talk about what happens when we fail to take hold of that wisdom and understanding. It tells us that those who do evil will seek to join forces to justify their actions. And we are clearly seeing this happen before our eyes today. Those that we have entrusted to help keep our leaders in check have joined our leaders in their corruption. They have been called to be watchmen against such corruption but have instead decided to join in on the dividing up of the spoils that our leaders have taken hold of. Often at the expense of someone’s life. But as Proverbs 1:18-19 says

¹⁸ But they lie in wait for their own blood,
They lurk secretly for their own lives.
¹⁹ So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain;
It takes away the life of its owners.

Verse 22 tells us that fools hate knowledge.

²² “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?

And verse 32 states that the complacency of fools will destroy them.

³² For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;

 

Those who have joined together in this folly will meet an end that is promised them by Gods word.

Psalm 1:6 (NKJV)

⁶ For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

This will be an eternity of compete separation from God and an eternity with the master that they are serving now. Those leaders that have betrayed those that they have sworn to serve will in the end find out that they have served the wrong master. And those that have joined them in their folly will join them in their reward. They will have no possessions and no power that they will take with them. Only the pain and suffering that has been promised to anyone who refuses to believe Gods word. They will also have a realization that they chose to throw away an eternity with God who has reached out to them many times to call them to repentance. Wisdom has called out to them but they have refused to listen. Just like those in history who have done the same thing. We are told that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Our leaders are repeating the same history and thinking that there will be a different result. But unfortunately it will meet with the same end. That is a promise from God. And that is something that everyone will eventually come face to face with if they head down that same path. But the point of this article is two fold. The failure of America’s leaders to live by the oath of their office. And the failure of those who chose a profession in which truth should be their highest standard. It is very clear that the press has failed to live up to this standard.

There is one other failure that we need to speak of here. It is the failure of the American people to hold both our leaders and those in the press to that higher standard. We as Americans have failed to do so because we ourselves do not want to be held to a higher standard. If we expect to survive as a nation that is the first step that needs to be taken. God gave us the Ten Commandments to live by. But because he knew that we would fail to live up to those standards he simplified them through Christ.

Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)

³⁷ Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

If we cannot even live by these simplified words then, as a nation, America will deserve whomever God turns us over to. And once again those leaders will be able to manipulate a press that has decided to serve the wrong master. In closing out this article I want to ask America a question. It is a question that I asked in an earlier article. Who’s Army Are You Marching In ? Make no mistake about it! We are all marching in one of two armies. We are either marching in Gods army. Or we are marching in Satan’s army. There is no in between. Jesus made that very clear.
