Hillary Hand Picked Donald Trump Too Be President

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Well, well, well! It turns out that Americans are not as stupid as the politicians and the elitist think we are. A leaked email shows that Hillary and her cronies hand picked Donald Trump to be the President of the United States.

 Wow: Team Clinton Strategy of Using Media to Promote Trump Totally Backfired – Leah Barkoukis

They Always Wanted Trump – POLITICO Magazine

“The variety of candidates is a positive here, and many of the lesser known can serve as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right. In this scenario, we don’t want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more ‘Pied Piper’ candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party,” read the memo.

“Pied Piper candidates include, but aren’t limited to:
• Ted Cruz
• Donald Trump
• Ben Carson
We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to [take] them seriously.”

Every American needs to read this and understand. Hillary Clinton and her cronies tried to rig this election by hand picking a candidate that they thought would be easy to beat. They called these candidates the pied piper candidates and conspired with a crocked news media to get one of them elected. Hillary hand picked Donald Trump because she thought she would be able to use his history to beat him. She chose the wrong candidate. Donald Trump knew how to play her game. And God used Donald Trump to expose all the corruption that is taking place in America. God knew all along just what Donald Trumps history was yet he still used him to bring about something that will hopefully turn this nation back to him. We must all pray for this nation as well as Donald Trump. Because only with God can this nation be great again. It was not intentional, on their part, to pick someone who would eventually beat Hillary in the election. But they did pick him. The media’s part in this shows just how corrupt they really are. America’s Epic Failure | Darwin Is Right

I am sure that not all of them knowingly participated in the liberals scheme to steal the election but they all participated. Either way, they where played. Those that knew they where being played participated willingly. This makes them just as bad as Hillary and her cronies that dreamed this plan up. Thus this is where Proverbs 1 comes into play. As it has so many times with their actions.

The Proverbs 1 Politician | Darwin Is Right

And we now know who’s army they are marching in.

Who’s Army Are You Marching In | Darwin Is Right

America must be vigilant in watching these people. Because they will not stop trying to turn this nation into a corrupt dictatorship that they control. Stalin’s prophecy almost came true. We were just one election away from falling into the hands of those just like him. Those who are bent upon seizing ultimate power for their own evil means. But God knows their plans and he used their own plans on them.

Genesis 50:20New King James Version (NKJV)

20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Proverbs 26:2New King James Version (NKJV)

Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow,
So a curse without cause shall not alight.

God turned there schemes on those who were involved in trying to destroy America but it was because of his mercy. Not because America is such a godly nation. It should be our prayer that God is using this event to turn this nation back to him. Now, it is in the hands of every American to continue to turn to him and pray for America. As well as the rest of the world! Because Satan will not stop using people to destroy the lives of as many as he can. America has shown that it is smarter than the elitist who have tried to destroy it but that is not going to stop them from trying to turn this defeat into a victory for them. But take heed  enemies of God

Revelation 1New King James Version (NKJV)

Introduction and Benediction

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Greeting the Seven Churches

John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:

Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Vision of the Son of Man

I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. 19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. 20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

Revelation 2New King James Version (NKJV)

The Loveless Church

2 “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

The Persecuted Church

“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,

‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”’

The Compromising Church

12 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,

‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”’

The Corrupt Church

18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,

‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—

as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.

29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

Revelation 3New King James Version (NKJV)

The Dead Church

3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,

‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

The Faithful Church

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

The Lukewarm Church

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

Romans 2:1-11New King James Version (NKJV)

God’s Righteous Judgment

2 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God.

Breaking News: Yes Hillary! Even You And Your Followers Are Redeemable

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Hillary Clinton’s statement about the followers of Donald Trump being irredeemable shows that she is completely ignorant about what the bible has to say.  Or! That she is indeed lying to the American people. Because the bible tells us that this is not so.

Romans 10:13 (NKJV)

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

These two statements alone refute the claim by anyone that people or a group of people are irredeemable. But what the bible does say is this.

John 3:18 (NKJV)

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So there is indeed a line in the sand so to speak.

Matthew 12:31-32 (NKJV)

The Unpardonable Sin

31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

So just what does these two verses mean. To put it simply it means that once you die your choice is already made as to where you will spend eternity. If you have chosen, before you die, to except what Jesus did for you on the cross and call upon his name and ask for his forgiveness then you have in fact been redeemed. You will spend an eternity with him in heaven. However, if you die, and you have not chosen to except what Christ has done for you on the cross and asked for his forgiveness then you have chosen to spend an eternity with your master who is not in heaven. It is that simple. No reason to make it complicated. Because it is not. Yes! When you except Christ into your life then he will begin to make changes in your life that you may have thought were impossible. But as the bible tells us.

Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)

26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Even the salvation of Hillary Clinton and her own group of deplorables.

Democrats and RINO’s Need To Go

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Things sure seem like they have gotten bad for Donald Trump. But the resent events only highlight how far the Democrats and RINO’s will go in order to hold onto what power they think they have. Make no mistake about it. Donald Trump’s comments where bad. But what we have is a group of very bad people doing anything they can to stop him from stopping them. His words from ten years ago reflect what kind of a man he may have been ten years ago. But what about the kind of man Bill Clinton was ten or even twenty years ago and beyond. Bill Clinton has been accused of rape and many other crimes against women. While at the same time Hillary Clinton has bashed each of these women and covered for Bill’s bad behavior. This in no way excuses what Trump said. But the liberal news media in trying to brush all of it under the carpet while trying to make sure their corrupt candidate wins. This election will determine the future of America like none before. We have a choice to keep or get rid of these corrupt career politicians who have tried to destroy America. We know who those Democrats are. And we know who those RINO’s are. I have not seen any Republicans on the list of those who have taken TARP money but this is only a partial list and I would not be surprised to see a few on it. Including some of these RINO’s. We all need to pray for Donald Trump. We need to pray that what was exposed is used by God to change him for the better. He has apologized for the stupid insensitive things that he said. Has Hillary or Bill done so. Have any of those who have taken TARP money apologized for stealing from the American people. Has Hillary apologized for getting 4 people killed in Benghazi. Has she or Bill apologized to all of the women who’s lived they both destroyed. No they have not. They have an agenda to rule the world together. Let me remind you of the story of Ahab and Jezebel. 1 Kings 16-21 You can read for yourself and make your own conclusions about how remarkable the comparison is.

I can tell you right now that all of our names are written in the Book of Proverbs. Including Donald Trump and Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Your Name Is In the Book of Proverbs | Darwin Is Right

But here is the question. Is their names written in the book of Life? Is yours? God knows the hearts of each and every one of us. As Americans we need to pray that all will come to have their name in the Book of life. But I am sure that by lying, stealing, murdering, and whatever other crimes that people are guilty of, without repentance, their name is not in the Book of Life. And I am sure that everyone’s names are in the Book of Proverbs.

Silence Is Not Always Golden

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

A dear friend of my wife and myself asked me a question at church today about who I was voting for in this election. Upon telling her that I was voting for Donald Trump she said that she had been uncertain about voting for him and stated that there was no way she was voting for Hillary Clinton.  I told her that the best thing that we can do is to pray for him if he becomes president. This is something that seems to be repeated all over the nation. As I was setting in church I was reminded of an article that I read many years ago. The title of this article is, “Just Sing A Little Louder”.  Below is a portion of that article with a link that you can go to and read the rest of it.

JUST SING A LITTLE LOUDER

After a speech, pro-life activist Penny Lea was approached by an old man. Weeping, he told her the following story:

“I lived in Germany during the Nazi holocaust. I considered myself a Christian. I attended church since I was a small boy. We had heard the stories of what was happening to the Jews, but like most people today in this country, we tried to distance ourselves from the reality of what was really taking place. What could anyone do to stop it?

A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning we would hear the whistle from a distance and then the clacking of the wheels moving over the track. We became disturbed when one Sunday we noticed cries coming from the train as it passed by. We grimly realized that the train was carrying Jews. They were like cattle in those cars!

Week after week that train whistle would blow. We would dread to hear the sound of those old wheels because we knew that the Jews would begin to cry out to us as they passed our church. It was so terribly disturbing! We could do nothing to help these poor miserable people, yet their screams tormented us. We knew exactly at what time that whistle would blow, and we decided the only way to keep from being so disturbed by the cries was to start singing our hymns. By the time that train came rumbling past the church yard, we were singing at the top of our voices. If some of the screams reached our ears, we’d just sing a little louder until we could hear them no more. Years have passed and no one talks about it much anymore, but I still hear that train whistle in my sleep. I can still hear them crying out for help. God forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians, yet did nothing to intervene.

“Their screams tormented us . . . If some of their screams reached our ears we’d just sing a little louder.”

Now, so many years later, I see it happening all over again in America. God forgive you as Americans for you have blocked out the screams of millions of your own children. The holocaust is here. The response is the same as it was in my country – SILENCE!”

Have you ever wondered HOW people could have stood by and let the holocaust just happen? Do you wonder why the Christians in this story chose to just sing their praise to God a little louder to drown out the victim’s cries?

The old man’s story is in the past. The past cannot be changed. It is easy to think we would act differently now. But the old man’s last words are haunting “It’s happening all over again in America with abortion. The Holocaust is here.”

As American Christians, we have become so comfortable in our lovely buildings and padded pews. We have beautiful fellowship halls for our many banquets. We have the latest sound equipment for our praise and worship. We have computers to keep our records. We gather together each week and shut ourselves inside our buildings. We raise our voices as loud as we can, all in the name of God.

This article hits home in so many ways. It speaks of those so called Christians who were sitting in their pews while the nation as a whole where imprisoning and murders Jews and others who dared to speak out against an out of control government. It speaks of a government that was using these same people as an excuse for all of the problems that where taking place in its country. This was a government that refused to take responsibility for its own corruption. There are so many ways that Germany was just like America today.  After the defeat of Germany people and nations said that this would never happen again. But this has been said before. And it has. Nation after nation throughout history has fallen because of the corruption of its leaders. These nations went through the process of becoming a nation and then through the process of collapse because its leaders where corrupt and ungodly people. Instead of seeking the wisdom of God they sought their own wisdom that failed them.

America was established has a nation that stood up against that corruption and one who sought to put God above all else. But what is happening today is history repeating itself all over again. 2 Timothy tells us that there will come a time when this corruption will spread throughout the entire world. and Isaiah 5 tells us that those that are corrupt will seek to justify their actions by calling good evil and evil good.

2 Timothy 3:1-17 (NKJV)

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

The Man of God and the Word of God

10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Isaiah 5:20-30 (NKJV)

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
And prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine,
Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,
23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe,
And take away justice from the righteous man!

24 Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble,
And the flame consumes the chaff,
So their root will be as rottenness,
And their blossom will ascend like dust;
Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts,
And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people;
He has stretched out His hand against them
And stricken them,
And the hills trembled.
Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets.

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.

26 He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar,
And will whistle to them from the end of the earth;
Surely they shall come with speed, swiftly.
27 No one will be weary or stumble among them,
No one will slumber or sleep;
Nor will the belt on their loins be loosed,
Nor the strap of their sandals be broken;
28 Whose arrows are sharp,
And all their bows bent;
Their horses’ hooves will seem like flint,
And their wheels like a whirlwind.
29 Their roaring will be like a lion,
They will roar like young lions;
Yes, they will roar
And lay hold of the prey;
They will carry it away safely,
And no one will deliver.
30 In that day they will roar against them
Like the roaring of the sea.
And if one looks to the land,
Behold, darkness and sorrow;
And the light is darkened by the clouds.

The entire Book of Proverbs talks about this corruption and what happens to those who ignore Gods warnings. Many have died over the centuries because of those who were corrupt and many are still dying even today because of those who are seeking that ultimate power. We see that today many in America have joined forces to obtain that power. And even those who are charged with sounding the alarm about those that are doing this have joined with them. The press in America has become just as corrupt as those in power. And have turned their backs on the American people. Those that are charged with prosecuting those who have abused their power have also become just as corrupt. And they too have failed the American people. But the worst problem of all is the silence of so many people in America. What happened in Germany began with the people keeping silent about what was going on. By the time they realized what was happening the Nazi Party was able to instill fear in an entire nation to keep people silent. The nation as a whole walked around putting blinders on so that they did not have to listen to the screams of them millions that where suffering because of that corrupt nation. As the article Just Sing Louder stated there where so many who put on these blinders and stood by while those atrocities happened. Many professed to be Christians but they were more afraid of man than they were of God. They forgot the promises of God.

Psalm 40 (NKJV)

Faith Persevering in Trial

40 I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”

I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness
In the great assembly;
Indeed, I do not restrain my lips,
O Lord, You Yourself know.
10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth
From the great assembly.

11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.
12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me;
My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;
They are more than the hairs of my head;
Therefore my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
O Lord, make haste to help me!
14 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion
Who seek to destroy my life;
Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor
Who wish me evil.
15 Let them be confounded because of their shame,
Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”
17 But I am poor and needy;
Yet the Lord thinks upon me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Do not delay, O my God.

They just remained silent while Germany was butchering those who would not fall in line with its policies. Today we have politicians who think that they have gotten away with their corruption. And those that have provided cover for them think that they have done nothing wrong. But as God has promised! He is the one who sees all that they do. And he is the one who holds them accountable for their actions.

Psalm 54 (NKJV)

54 Save me, O God, by Your name,
And vindicate me by Your strength.
Hear my prayer, O God;
Give ear to the words of my mouth.
For strangers have risen up against me,
And oppressors have sought after my life;
They have not set God before them. Selah

Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life.
He will repay my enemies for their evil.
Cut them off in Your truth.

I will freely sacrifice to You;
I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
For He has delivered me out of all trouble;
And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.

Those Charged With Protecting America Have Become A Disgrace

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Definition of disgrace

1. the loss of respect, honor, or esteem; ignominy; shame:the disgrace of criminals.

2. a person, act, or thing that causes shame, reproach, or dishonor or is dishonorable or shameful.

3. the state of being out of favor; exclusion from favor, confidence, or trust:courtiers and ministers in disgrace.verb (used with object), disgraced, disgracing.

4. to bring or reflect shame or reproach upon:to be disgraced by cowardice.

5.to dismiss with discredit; put out of grace or favor; rebuke or humiliate:to be disgraced at court.

This definition now includes our leaders as well as the majority of those in the press who have been charged with watching them and reporting on their corruption. It also includes those who should be prosecuting those involved in corruption. The law is very clear. Yet the double standard now employed by the American press has shown that they are no longer interested in reporting the truth. They, as well as the FBI, have joined forces with these corrupt politicians. They know it. And most of the American people know it. They have now openly flaunted it in front of the American people and expect that they will get away with it.

But no matter what they think! Judgement day is coming. We will all stand before God and at that point there will be no lawyers there to spin the truth. Our lives will be played back before us an the verdict will be rendered. Those who have been charged with protecting and reporting the truth have failed the American people and are no less guilty of corruption than those leaders who have sold out to this corruption. America’s Epic Failure

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

What we are witnessing today with the failure of the leaders in America to protect the American people from the cronyism that has taken place is completely unprecedented. Not only have they failed to protect the American people, they have themselves participated in this cronyism. But what is even more horrific is that the American press is participating in this cronyism. Never before was this more evident than during the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. As America watched the debates they saw Lester Holt running interference for Hillary Clinton. During the debate this form of cronyism was the worst form of treason that a free press could inflict on the American people. This is socialism at its worst. The history of what happened in Germany tells us exactly where we are headed if this is not stopped. Millions and millions of people died at the hands of a political group that sought ultimate power. Those that stood in their way were destined to be executed by those who used their power to destroy anyone who would stand against them. The press was used as a tool to spread their propaganda and to justify their actions, I have stated multiple times that America is becoming a Proverbs 1 nation.

Proverbs 1New King James Version (NKJV)

The Beginning of Knowledge

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

To know wisdom and instruction,
To perceive the words of understanding,
To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;
To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—
A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Shun Evil Counsel

My son, hear the instruction of your father,
And do not forsake the law of your mother;
For they will be a graceful ornament on your head,
And chains about your neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice you,
Do not consent.
11 If they say, “Come with us,
Let us lie in wait to shed blood;
Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;
12 Let us swallow them alive like Sheol,
And whole, like those who go down to the Pit;
13 We shall find all kinds of precious possessions,
We shall fill our houses with spoil;
14 Cast in your lot among us,
Let us all have one purse”—
15 My son, do not walk in the way with them,
Keep your foot from their path;
16 For their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely, in vain the net is spread
In the sight of any bird;
18 But they lie in wait for their own blood,
They lurk secretly for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain;
It takes away the life of its owners.

The Call of Wisdom

20 Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
21 She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
22 “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
23 Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24 Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord,
30 They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.
31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

The first few verses talks about obtaining wisdom and understanding. But the last few verses talk about what happens when we fail to take hold of that wisdom and understanding. It tells us that those who do evil will seek to join forces to justify their actions. And we are clearly seeing this happen before our eyes today. Those that we have entrusted to help keep our leaders in check have joined our leaders in their corruption. They have been called to be watchmen against such corruption but have instead decided to join in on the dividing up of the spoils that our leaders have taken hold of. Often at the expense of someone’s life. But as Proverbs 1:18-19 says

18 But they lie in wait for their own blood,
They lurk secretly for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain;
It takes away the life of its owners.

Verse 22 tells us that fools hate knowledge.

22 “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.

And verse 32 states that the complacency of fools will destroy them.

32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;

Those who have joined together in this folly will meet an end that is promised them by Gods word.

Psalm 1:6 (NKJV)

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

This will be an eternity of compete separation from God and an eternity with the master that they are serving now. Those leaders that have betrayed those that they have sworn to serve will in the end find out that they have served the wrong master. And those that have joined them in their folly will join them in their reward. They will have no possessions and no power that they will take with them. Only the pain and suffering that has been promised to anyone who refuses to believe Gods word. They will also have a realization that they chose to throw away an eternity with God who has reached out to them many times to call them to repentance. Wisdom has called out to them but they have refused to listen. Just like those in history who have done the same thing. We are told that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Our leaders are repeating the same history and thinking that there will be a different result. But unfortunately it will meet with the same end. That is a promise from God. And that is something that everyone will eventually come face to face with if they head down that same path. But the point of this article is two fold. The failure of America’s leaders to live by the oath of their office. And the failure of those who chose a profession in which truth should be their highest standard. It is very clear that the press has failed to live up to this standard.

There is one other failure that we need to speak of here. It is the failure of the American people to hold both our leaders and those in the press to that higher standard. We as Americans have failed to do so because we ourselves do not want to be held to a higher standard. If we expect to survive as a nation that is the first step that needs to be taken. God gave us the Ten Commandments to live by. But because he knew that we would fail to live up to those standards he simplified them through Christ.

Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

If we cannot even live by these simplified words then, as a nation, America will deserve whomever God turns us over to. And once again those leaders will be able to manipulate a press that has decided to serve the wrong master. In closing out this article I want to ask America a question. It is a question that I asked in an earlier article. Who’s Army Are You Marching In ? Make no mistake about it! We are all marching in one of two armies. We are either marching in Gods army. Or we are marching in Satan’s army. There is no in between. Jesus made that very clear.

Revelation 3New King James Version (NKJV)

Matthew 25:31-46 (NKJV)

The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Satan Rallies His Troops

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

With the events of the world unfolding before us what we are seeing is the disintegration of morality. I have talked about the Book of Proverbs over and over again and the more I see the more it is proved right. There is a line that has been blurred by those who have sought to take advantage of the unrest that is going on in the world. We have politicians who have used divisive for the sole purpose of keeping the eyes of the people off of the corrupt and immoral thing that they are doing. So here we are once again with the rioting that is taking place in North Carolina with our leaders not standing up to stop this from happening. The reason is that this fits there narrative of keeping people divided so they can stay in power. And once again Proverbs 1 Stands out with people joining together to justify their bad behavior.

Proverbs 1 (NKJV)

To perceive the words of understanding,

And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Shun Evil Counsel

My son, hear the instruction of your father,
And do not forsake the law of your mother;
For they will be a graceful ornament on your head,
And chains about your neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice you,
Do not consent.
11 If they say, “Come with us,
Let us lie in wait to shed blood;
Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;
12 Let us swallow them alive like Sheol,
And whole, like those who go down to the Pit;
13 We shall find all kinds of precious possessions,
We shall fill our houses with spoil;
14 Cast in your lot among us,
Let us all have one purse”—
15 My son, do not walk in the way with them,
Keep your foot from their path;
16 For their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely, in vain the net is spread
In the sight of any bird;
18 But they lie in wait for their own blood,
They lurk secretly for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain;
It takes away the life of its owners.

The Call of Wisdom

20 Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
21 She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:
22 “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?
For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge.
23 Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24 Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

What we must realize here is that those who would take advantage of these situations are only interested in gaining more power and they do not care about those who have been hurt by these events. Nor do they care about anyone of these people that have been involved in causing these riots. So the questions know is! How close are we to the end of America? If these evil people are able to gain the power that they are seeking then Satan will have accomplished in destroying the lines of even more countless people. In the end Christ will prevail and those who have given their lives to him will have heeded the call for wisdom that is in Proverbs. But those who completely ignore that call will spend and eternity with that master that they have chosen to serve.

The Harlots Destruction

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

From the beginning God has intended for the relationship between a man and a woman to be sacred. But because of the fall of man that relationship has been perverted. And the further man walks away from God the more perverted it gets. Romans 1 tells us exactly what happens when it gets to the point where God hands us over to our own lust.

Romans 1 (NKJV)

God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

And in Judges 16 we see just how Samson was brought to his death by his lust for Delilah.

Judges 16 (NKJV)

16 Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her. When the Gazites were told, “Samson has come here!” they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, “In the morning, when it is daylight, we will kill him.” And Samson lay low till midnight; then he arose at midnight, took hold of the doors of the gate of the city and the two gateposts, pulled them up, bar and all, put them on his shoulders, and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron. Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver. ”So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you.” And Samson said to her, “If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings, not yet dried, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”

So the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven fresh bowstrings, not yet dried, and she bound him with them. Now men were lying in wait, staying with her in the room. And she said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” But he broke the bowstrings as a strand of yarn breaks when it touches fire. So the secret of his strength was not known. 10 Then Delilah said to Samson, “Look, you have mocked me and told me lies. Now, please tell me what you may be bound with.” 11 So he said to her, “If they bind me securely with new ropes that have never been used, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”

12 Therefore Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them, and said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And men were lying in wait, staying in the room. But he broke them off his arms like a thread. 13 Delilah said to Samson, “Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me what you may be bound with.” And he said to her, “If you weave the seven locks of my head into the web of the loom”— 14 So she wove it tightly with the batten of the loom, and said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” But he awoke from his sleep, and pulled out the batten and the web from the loom. 15 Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and have not told me where your great strength lies.” 16 And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death, 17 that he told her all his heart, and said to her, “No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”

18 When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. 19 Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him,[a] and his strength left him. 20 And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him. 21 Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison. 22 However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven.

23 Now the lords of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice. And they said: “Our god has delivered into our hands
Samson our enemy!” 24 When the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said:

“Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, The destroyer of our land,
And the one who multiplied our dead.”

25 So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, “Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars. 26 Then Samson said to the lad who held him by the hand, “Let me feel the pillars which support the temple, so that I can lean on them.” 27 Now the temple was full of men and women. All the lords of the Philistines were there—about three thousand men and women on the roof watching while Samson performed. 28 Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” 29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. 30 Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life. 31 And his brothers and all his father’s household came down and took him, and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. He had judged Israel twenty years.

Sexual sins are one of the most used weapons that Satan comes at us with. We are told that we are to present our bodies to God as a living and holy sacrifice. But instead of keeping our eyes on God we start looking at the world instead.

Romans 12 (NKJV)

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

That last statement bears repeating! Instead of keeping our eyes on God we start looking at the world instead. And instead of running from the temptations that Satan is tempting us with, we take hold of them. Satan can never force us to do so. But that is part of his lies. God has given us the weapons to be able to deal with sin. One of those weapons is his word.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

It is through the learning and use of his word that we gain the strength to be able to resist the temptations that Satan keeps throwing at us. Unfortunately there are so many people that continue to allow themselves to be placed into bondage. We become snared by these temptations because we do not spend the time needed to prepare for the battles that we face in our walk with God. We need to understand that the time needed to prepare for these battles is before the battle. Not during the battle. God has come to the rescue several times but we will never be able to accomplish what God wants for us if we never prepare ourselves for what he has planned for us. Satan knows this. He knows the weaknesses that can be exploited. And there are many. There are reasons that he is able to exploit and use the sin of harlotry to destroy peoples live. He has taken most sacred thing that God has given us and twisted it into something perverted.

It is through that relationship between a man and woman that God chose to populate the world. It is through that relationship that God chose to expand his kingdom and bring them into a relationship with him. But because Satan was able to tempt Eve into taking her eyes off of God and put them on her own selfish desires, he has a tool the he can use to exploit with. Many have fallen because of this. Including many who were otherwise godly men. But these godly men failed to hold on to the tools that God had given them to fight those battles that Satan came at them with. Without taking hold of God’s word and learning how to use it to fight those battles with many men and women have fallen and been taken captive. We are warned many times of the reward of sin. Especially in proverbs!

Proverbs 7 (NKJV)

21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield,
With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter,
Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,
23 Till an arrow struck his liver.
As a bird hastens to the snare,
He did not know it would cost his life.

24 Now therefore, listen to me, my children;
Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths;
26 For she has cast down many wounded,
And all who were slain by her were strong men.
27 Her house is the way to hell,
Descending to the chambers of death.

 Throughout the last few chapters of Proverbs God has brought to the forefront just how important the relationship between a husband and wife are. The world has distorted this relationship but nothing has changed with God. There will be a day of reckoning coming for those that have distorted what God has created. Many choose not to believe what he has to say about such relationships but that is a choice that they have made. Any arguments that they may have will be futile because just like it says in Proverbs 1:24-33 wisdom has called out to them and they refuse to heed its call.

24 Because I have called and you refused,
I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm,

Proverbs Chapter 7 Explained

 Proverbs 7 NKJV – My son, keep my words, And treasure my – Bible Gateway

Proverbs 7:1 “My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.”

Again, we see here the father’s love for the son in teaching him the ways of righteousness. It is just as important to remember them as it is to learn them. Learning what we never use is of no use to us. Learning of commandments that keep us out of trouble will also save our life.

Proverbs 7:2 “Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.”

This expression refers to the pupil of the eye which, because it is the source of sight, is carefully protected. The son is to guard and protect his father’s teachings because they give him spiritual and moral sight.

Proverbs 7:3 “Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.”

This is a call to give the truth of divine wisdom a permanent place in the mind and in conduct.

In Israel, it is not uncommon to write the Ten Commandments on tablets and wear them like rings on their fingers. The tables of our heart are the very place for all of God’s laws to be. The world might do away with our Bibles, but they could not do away with the things we have hidden in our heart.

Proverbs 7:4 “Say unto wisdom, Thou [art] my sister; and call understanding [thy] kinswoman:”

Wisdom should become part of our very being. We have said before that wisdom is a gift of God to us and is in our inner most being. Understanding and wisdom go hand in hand.  If we are wise, we have understanding.

Proverbs 7:5 “That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger [which] flattereth with her words.”

This is a repeat of what we have been reading about the whorish woman. Perhaps the reason this is mentioned so many times is so that the young men will clearly remember these instructions.

Proverbs 7:6 “For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,”

The drama of seduction by the adulteress, introduced in v.5 and unfolding to v.23, is described from the viewpoint on one who is watching from his window.

Proverbs 7:7 “And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,”

As we read in chapter 1 verse 4 “To give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion”. The purpose is to impart discernment to the naïve and the ignorant. The root of “simple” is a word meaning “an open door,” an apt description of the undiscerning, who do not know what to keep in or out of their minds. This describes this young man void of understanding.

Proverbs 7:8 “Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,” Proverbs 7:9 “In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:”

We see a picture here of someone observing from their window a young man who is not filled with the wisdom that we have been reading about, but a man who has no wisdom and understanding. He is a foolish man, spoken of as a simple man here (perhaps unlearned). He has not heeded the warnings about the harlot woman and he goes into her house.

Against the advice of 4:14-15, he put himself right in the harlot’s place. “Fleeing immorality” (1Cor. 6;18) starts by not being in the harlot’s neighborhood at night.

Notice he believes that he is hidden by the darkness of the night. Many sins are committed in the dark and regretted in the light.

Proverbs 7:10 “And, behold, there met him a woman [with] the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.”

This is an unfair contest between the simple young man, who lacks wisdom and is void of the truth, and the evil woman, who knows her goal, but hides her true intentions.

You ladies take note. There is a way to dress that would appear to be the dress of a harlot. This Scripture does not describe it for us, but most of us know what it looks like. It is way too short, and very tight so that her form would show. The neck would be cut low as to show her bosom. Very little would be left to the imagination. She would be wearing way too much makeup and have flashy jewelry hanging all over her. A pretty good description, wouldn’t you say?

Now let us stop looking at her attire and look at her.

Proverbs 7:11 “(She [is] loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:” Proverbs 7:12 “Now [is she] without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)”

She makes much noise to be seen and heard. She may be married but “her feet” does not abide in her own house.

In other words she is a pick-up off the street.

These verses break the narrative to describe the woman’s modes of operation leading to her successful seduction of the simple man.

Proverbs 7:13 “So she caught him, and kissed him, [and] with an impudent face said unto him,”

We see here a very forward woman. This open display of her lust for him in kissing him in public is revolting.

Proverbs 7:14 “[I have] peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.”

These peace offerings should not be involved in this type of rendezvous. Peace offerings were offered in the temple and a portion brought home to eat in a ceremonial supper, but not used as a bribe to get a man.

According to the law of peace offerings, the meat left over after the sacrifice was to be eaten before the end of the day. She appears very religious in making the invitation that the man join her because she had made her offering and is bringing home the meat that must be eaten.

Proverbs 7:15 “Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.”

It is already night and the meal must be consumed. It cannot be left for morning. Such hypocrisy is concerned about the ceremonial law while aggressively seducing someone to violate God’s moral law.

Proverbs 7:16 “I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved [works], with fine linen of Egypt.”  Proverbs 7:17 “I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.”

Fine linen was a sign of wealth. Here the solicitation is direct, as she describes the comfort of her bed with its aromatic spices.

Proverbs 7:18 “Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.”

We see here a woman who planned ahead to sin. She had already prepared her bed before she ever saw this young foolish man. This is a way of life with her. Her sleeping arrangements would have cost her a lot of money to prepare. This linen of Egypt symbolizes righteousness of the world which is filthy rags. Linen = righteousness. Egypt = world. This myrrh was expensive perfume which was ordinarily for the wedding bed.

Adultery is not true love, but mere physical gratification. Love and lust have been exchanged here. No love exists, this is pure lust. The first thing that is wrong with this is that they are not married to each other.

Proverbs 7:19 “For the goodman [is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:” Proverbs 7:20 “He hath taken a bag of money with him, [and] will come home at the day appointed.”

Here she gives the simple man the assurance that there is no fear of discovery of their act, since her husband has taken a large sum of cash, needed because he will be away for a long time, returning at a set time and not before.

Proverbs 7:21 “With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.”

In a previous lesson, the young men were warned about not listening to this kind of woman with her flattering lips. Now we see in detail how she flatters and then convinces this foolish young man to come in unto her.  She first says, “I am here by myself; my husband has gone and won’t be back till he spends all of that money he took with him”. He finally gives in to her flattering and goes in unto her.

When the location, time and setting were allowed, the seduction was easy.

Proverbs 7:22 “He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;”

An ox has no idea that he is going to be killed, until it actually happens. This is the way of this foolish man here. He cannot see the destruction that lies ahead.

Ignorant of the real danger and incapable of resistance, he quickly succumbs like a beast to be butchered or a criminal put in stocks.

Proverbs 7:23 “Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it [is] for his life.”

This has been the plot all along, to lure him as a bird is lured into a net and then killed. All the while he has no idea of the plot to kill him.

This refers to a mortal wound, as the liver represents the seat of life and the bird is snared to be eaten.

Proverbs 7:24 “Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.”

Here, again, is a warning not to go in unto a harlot.

The appropriate application of this drama is made in the admonition of these verses to avoid her deadly seduction.

Proverbs 7:25 “Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.”

A wise heart would not fall into this trap. This is just a warning to stay away from this evil woman. You would have to decline to get to her, for her place is in hell.

Proverbs 7:26 “For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong [men] have been slain by her.”

It is not just the weak men who fall, but strong men in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong thoughts for the wrong reasons.

Paid adulteresses have ruined many lives. There are many men whose lives have been totally destroyed by visiting this type woman.

Proverbs 7:27 “Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.”

There is no heavenly home for these women or the men they trick unless they repent and turn from their wicked ways. Death and destruction await her and her victims.

The wicked devise a plot of deception in which the innocent are captured and victimized like the one who is taken by death itself. “Sheol” is the place of death. For the wicked it is a place of no return, darkness, and torment.

Proverbs 7 (NKJV)

7 My son, keep my words,
And treasure my commands within you.
Keep my commands and live,
And my law as the apple of your eye.
Bind them on your fingers;
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
And call understanding your nearest kin,
That they may keep you from the immoral woman,
From the seductress who flatters with her words.

The Crafty Harlot

For at the window of my house
I looked through my lattice,
And saw among the simple,
I perceived among the youths,
A young man devoid of understanding,
Passing along the street near her corner;
And he took the path to her house
In the twilight, in the evening,
In the black and dark night.

10 And there a woman met him,
With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.
11 She was loud and rebellious,
Her feet would not stay at home.
12 At times she was outside, at times in the open square,
Lurking at every corner.
13 So she caught him and kissed him;
With an impudent face she said to him:
14 “I have peace offerings with me;
Today I have paid my vows.
15 So I came out to meet you,
Diligently to seek your face,
And I have found you.
16 I have spread my bed with tapestry,
Colored coverings of Egyptian linen.
17 I have perfumed my bed
With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until morning;
Let us delight ourselves with love.
19 For my husband is not at home;
He has gone on a long journey;
20 He has taken a bag of money with him,
And will come home on the appointed day.”

24 Now therefore, listen to me, my children;
Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths;
26 For she has cast down many wounded,
And all who were slain by her were strong men.
27 Her house is the way to hell,
Descending to the chambers of death.

Deplorable

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Hillary Clinton’s statements about those who vote for Donald Trump are about as condescending and racist as it gets for any politician. But that being said! Anyone not walking around with blinders on, like the socialist network news media, has known that this is and has been her true feelings about anyone who does not fall in line with the policy of the Democratic party. Those who have read the book, KILLER ANGEL, by George Grant or the book, THE INHERENT RACISM OF POPULATION CONTROL – Inherentracism.pdf, know that the Democratic Party has wrapped its arms around racism. So the elitist attitude by Hillary Clinton should not surprise anyone. Her speech about the basket of deplorable that vote for Donald Trumps was not the most deplorable thing that happened. The most deplorable thing that happened was all the elitist that where setting at that fundraiser cheering her on. This says one thing about this group of people as a whole. Proverbs 1 is right.  It is right not only about the politicians that I wrote about in my article, The Proverbs 1 Politician | Darwin Is Right, but it is right about everyone who follows in the footsteps of anyone who has taken a stand against God. My article about everyone having their name in the Book of Proverbs, Your Name Is In the Book of Proverbs | Darwin Is Right, puts those who attended this fundraiser into a new prospective. Below are links to some articles that I posted on a blog a few years ago that was just made relevant by Hillary and her co-conspirators of elitist.

I would encourage you to read these articles and I challenge you to let me know if anything has changed except that it has gotten worse and that these policies of the Left have gotten more brazen. And then take another look at the Book of Proverbs. Read it and see if you can find your name in it. Your Name Is In the Book of Proverbs | Darwin Is Right Read it and see if you notice the arrogance of those that have thumbed their nose at God and challenged him. And they have challenged him. But that is a challenge that will spend an eternity regretting. As it says in Romans 1, Gods wrath is revealed against all who are unrighteous. That means that even those that follow those who are practice evil are held responsible for there folly.

And They Played The Harlot

People Who Justify Bad Behavior_1

Before moving on to the next chapter of Proverbs there is something more about chapter five I want to share. The Abomination of Harlotry | Darwin Is Right  Charles Spurgeon is one of the most famous ministers of the 1800’s and his sermons are quoted by ministers on a daily basis today. Here is part of his sermon on Proverbs 5 which gives us some understanding as to why so many people in this world would rather run to sin than run to Christ. His sermons are as applicable today as they were when he delivered them.

 A SERMON

DELIVERED ON LORD’S-DAY

MORNING, FFBRUARY 13, 1870,

 “His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.”—Proverbs 5:22.

The first sentence has reference to a net, in which birds or beasts are taken. The ungodly man first of all finds sin to be a bait, and, charmed by its apparent pleasantness he indulges in it, and then he becomes entangled in its meshes so that he cannot escape. That which first attracted the sinner, afterwards detains him. Evil habits are soon formed, the soul readily becomes accustomed to evil, and then, even if the man should have lingering thoughts of better things, and form frail resolutions to amend, his iniquities hold him captive like a bird in the fowler’s snare. You have seen the foolish fly descend into the sweet which is spread to destroy him, he sips, and sips again, and by-and-by he plunges boldly in to feast himself greedily: when satisfied, he attempts to fly, but the sweet holds him by the feet and clogs his wings; he is a victim, and the more he struggles the more surely is he held. Even so is it with the sins of ungodly men, they are at first a tempting bait, and afterwards a snare. Having sinned, they become so bewitched with sin, that the scriptural statement is no exaggeration: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”
The first sentence of the text also may have reference to an arrest by an officer of law. The transgressor’s own sins shall take him, shall seize him; they bear a warrant for arresting him, they shall judge him, they shall even execute him. Sin, which at the first bringeth to man a specious pleasure, ere long turneth into bitterness, remorse, and fear. Sin is a dragon, with eyes like stars, but it carrieth a deadly sting in its tail. The cup of sin, with rainbow bubbles on its brim, is black with deep damnation in its dregs. O that men would consider this, and turn from their delusions. To bring torment to the guilty, there is little need that God should, literally in the world to come, pile up Tophet with its wood and much smoke, nor even that the pit should be digged for the ungodly in order to make them miserable; sin shall of itself bring forth death. Leave a man to his own sins, and hell itself surrounds him; only suffer a sinner to do what he wills, and to give his lusts unbridled headway, and you have secured him boundless misery; only allow the seething caldron of his corruptions to boil at its own pleasure, and the man must inevitably become a vessel filled with sorrow. Be assured that sin is the root of bitterness. Gild the pill as you may, iniquity is death. Sweet is an unholy morsel in the mouth, but it will be wormwood in the bowels. Let but man heartily believe this, and surely he will not so readily be led astray. “Surely in vain is the net spread in the sight of any bird,” and shall man be more foolish than the fowls of the air? will he wilfully pursue his own destruction? will he wrong his own soul? Sin, then, becomes first a net to hold the sinner by the force of custom and habit, and afterwards, a sheriffs officer to arrest him, and to scourge him with its inevitable results.
The second sentence of our text speaks of the sinner being holden with cords, and a parable may be readily fashioned out of the expression. The lifelong occupation of the ungodly man is to twist ropes of sin. All his sins are as so much twine and cord out of which ropes may be made. His thoughts and his imaginations are so much raw material, and while he thinks of evil, while he contrives transgression, while he lusts after filthiness, while he follows after evil devices, while with head, and hand, and heart he pursues eagerly after mischief, he is still twisting evermore the cords of sin which are afterwards to bind him. The binding meant is that of a culprit pinioned for execution. Iniquity pinions a man, disables him from delivering himself from its power, enchains his soul, and inflicts a bondage on the spirit far worse than chaining of the body. Sin cripples all desires after holiness, damps every aspiration after goodness, and thus, fettering the man hand and foot, delivers him over to the executioner, which executioner shall be the wrath of God, but also sin itself, in the natural consequences which in every case must flow from it. Samson could burst asunder green withes and new ropes, but when at last his darling sin had bound him to his Delilah, that bond he could not snap, though it cost him his eyes. Make a man’s will a prisoner, and he is a captive indeed. Determined independence of spirit walks at freedom in a tyrant’s Bastille, and defies a despot’s hosts; but a mind enslaved by sin builds its own dungeon, forges its own fetters, and rivets on its chains. It is slavery indeed when the iron enters into the soul. Who would not scorn to make himself a slave to his baser passions? and yet the mass of men are such—the cords of their sins bind them.

Now on to the point of this article. As with Proverbs 5 so does Proverbs 6 deal with not only the harlotry of a nation but of individuals. God considers both an abomination.

Psalm 106:39 (NKJV)

106:39 Thus they were defiled by their own works,
And played the harlot by their own deeds.

As we saw how God dealt with Adam and Eve individually for their sins he also dealt with them and satan as a group for all their sins. We have seen time and time again throughout history nation after nation has been dealt with for their unbelief and defiance of God and his word. We see throughout the bible just how God not only dealt with Israel as a nation but also with individuals who sinned against him.

Psalm 106:6-38 (NKJV)

We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, We have done wickedly.
Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, But rebelled by the sea—the Red Sea.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, That He might make His mighty power known. He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; So He led them through the depths, As through the wilderness. 10 He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. 11 The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left. 12 Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.

13 They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel, 14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tested God in the desert.  15 And He gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.

16 When they envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron the saint of the Lord, 17 The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, And covered the faction of Abiram. 18 A fire was kindled in their company; The flame burned up the wicked.

19 They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image. 20 Thus they changed their glory
Into the image of an ox that eats grass. 21 They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt, 22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, Awesome things by the Red Sea.
23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

24 Then they despised the pleasant land; They did not believe His word, 25 But complained in their tents, And did not heed the voice of the Lord. 26 Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them, To overthrow them in the wilderness, 27 To overthrow their descendants among the nations, And to scatter them in the lands.

28 They joined themselves also to Baal of Peor, And ate sacrifices made to the dead. 29 Thus they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them. 30 Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, And the plague was stopped. 31 And that was accounted to him for righteousness To all generations forevermore.

32 They angered Him also at the waters of strife, So that it went ill with Moses on account of them; 33 Because they rebelled against His Spirit, So that he spoke rashly with his lips.

34 They did not destroy the peoples, Concerning whom the Lord had commanded them, 35 But they mingled with the Gentiles And learned their works; 36 They served their idols, Which became a snare to them. 37 They even sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons, 38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood. 39 Thus they were defiled by their own works,
And played the harlot by their own deeds.

40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance. 41 And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them. 42 Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand. 43 Many times He delivered them;  But they rebelled in their counsel, And were brought low for their iniquity.

One sad charge against people today is that they have completely thrown any notion of personnel accountability out the window. They refuse to except responsibility for their own bad behavior. And it seems as though the entire world is behaving badly. Nothing has brought this point out more than our own election process here in America. You have groups of people who are doing anything they can to cover up the bad behavior of their candidate while trying to manipulate others into joining with them in their folly. By doing so they are helping to enable their candidate in their own bad behavior. Enablers | Darwin Is Right  From individuals to groups of people they have shown that they are willing to stoop to any level to get what they want. And ultimately what those in power want is more power. Satan is using so many sources and individuals to accomplish his goal of enslaving the entire world and separating it from it’s creator. And if you just stand back and look at it with your own eyes it sure looks like he is doing just that. But God has given us a new set of eyes to look through.

Romans 8 (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Read More

Sin required accountability. Personal accountability as well as national accountability. The bible tells us that the road is narrow that leads to heaven and that the road is wide that leads to destruction. And it is so much easier to walk on that wide path. But the reward is different for both.

Matthew 7:13-27 (NKJV)

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

I made a statement in an earlier study that the Book of Proverbs can be called The Book of Honesty. As these studies go on if you are not willing to be honest with yourself then the only way that things can go is down. Because those who are caught in that snare of sin that Charles Spurgeon talks about are caught in a trap that will only take them in the direction towards the gates of hell. That is where that wide path leads to. And although it is the easy path to take we need to turn to God and allow him to put us on that narrow path and keep us on it.

 Proverbs Chapter 6 Explained

Proverbs 6 NKJV – Dangerous Promises – My son, if you – Bible Gateway

Proverbs 6:1 “My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, [if] thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,”

Surety for they friend means to put up security for someone else’s loan.

This is just saying you are responsible for the note this other person has made. The foolishness here is making one’s self responsible for another’s debt and pledging to pay if the other defaults.

While there is a precedent for such a practice, it is far better to give to those in need or lend without interest.

Young people, many times, do not realize that they could have to pay the whole debt for something they did not receive by just signing an innocent looking piece of paper. When this chapter of Proverbs was written, a hand shake was just as binding as notarized notes are today. Our society has gone debt crazy. We buy things on time that we should not have bought at all, because we do not have the money to pay for it. The #1 cause of divorce in America is debt.

Proverbs 6:2 “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”

Anyone who becomes responsible for another person’s debt is trapped and controlled because he has yielded control of what God has given him as a stewardship.

Proverbs 6:3 “Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.”

This is very good advice about to be given in verses 3 through 5; get off the note.

The situation is so serious that it is imperative to take control of one’s own God given resources and get out of such an intolerable arrangement immediately “deliver yourself”, before coming to poverty or slavery.

Proverbs 6:4 “Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.”  Proverbs 6:5 “Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand [of the hunter], and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.”

This is just saying, don’t even wait until tomorrow, go today and beg your friend to let you off of this note. Just as a deer escapes from the hunter or a bird from a net, you will be free and not responsible for someone else’s note.

We are seeing in these parables just good rules for living successful business lives. These parables are to help us prosper in all that we do.

Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:”

A warning against laziness is appropriate after the discussion on the folly of guaranteeing someone else’s debt, since it is often lazy people who want sureties.

The ant is an example of industry, diligence and planning and serves as a rebuke to a sluggard (a lazy person who lacks self control). Folly sends a lazy man to learn from an ant.

Proverbs 6:7 “Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,” Proverbs 6:8 “Provideth her meat in the summer, [and] gathereth her food in the harvest.”

God does not like for us to be lazy (sluggard). The ant throughout history has shown great industry. It is wise to follow someone or something that teaches us good habits. The ant works without another ant over him and, yet, gets his work done and done well. The ant prepares ahead and is never short of food. We can learn a lesson from the ant. We should not have to be driven to work, but should do our work, because it needs to be done. We should work hard and prepare ahead for the winter.

Proverbs 6:9 “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?” Proverbs 6:10 “[Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:”

This lazy person (sluggard) loves to sleep late rather than to work. This lazy person uses every kind of excuse to avoid work. He says,” I have to sleep a little, I do not have time to work right now”.

Proverbs 6:11 “So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Poverty will come upon a person who does not want to work. Money is earned by the sweat of the brow and with busy hands. People, who do not like to work, receive no money. This is just a warning against being lazy and a sleepy head.

Just as a victim is overcome by a robber, so is the lazy man with his devotion to sleep rather than work, is led to poverty.

Proverbs 6:12 “A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.”

This naughty, wicked man is an example of what none of us want to be. This man would not be a truthful person, but would be someone who lies to get his way or for evil gain.

This “naughty” or worthless person is a considered a scoundrel, literally a “man of Belial”, (meaning useless) a term which came to be used of the Devil himself (see 2 Cor. 6:15)

Proverbs 6:13 “He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;”

We see from this description and other descriptions of winking with the eye that it is used to trick people. This speaking with his feet shows that he is running to mischief. This talking with his fingers indicates evil gestures of the fingers. We have talked before about the mouth speaking from the issue of the heart. As the man thinketh in his heart, the mouth speaketh.

Apparently this was common in the East. Fearing detection and to hide his intention, the deceiver spoke lies to the victim while giving signals with his eyes, hands and feet to someone else in on the deception to carry out the intrigue.

Proverbs 6:14 “Frowardness [is] in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.”

“Frowardness” refers to moral perversity. The sin of strife, dissent or creating conflict intentionally recurs in Proverbs.

Evil men, with evil hearts, speak evil words. This evil person is continually thinking up ways to do wickedness. This man is not a peace maker.  He is continually causing fussing and fighting because he spreads strife.

Proverbs 6:15 “Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.”

God will not always overlook this evil. There is a day of reckoning. When God decides that reckoning day is here, it comes suddenly as a thief in the night. When God says it is enough, there will be nowhere for him to turn to. When God judges, his punishment will fit his crime.

In verses 16-19 we see the words six and seven. The sequence of these two numbers was used both to represent totality and as a means of arresting attention. These 7 detestable sins provide a profound glimpse into the sinfulness of man. These verses act as a summary of the previous warnings: (1) Haughty eyes; (2) Lying tongue; (3) Hands; (4) Heart; (5) Feet; (6) (False witness; 7) Discord.

Proverbs 6:16  “These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:”

We see here that there are some sins that God will just not tolerate. They are so terrible in His sight that He calls them an abomination. These 7 abominations to God just mean that they cover all the abominations.

Proverbs 6:17 “A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,”

Haughtiness (a proud look) or you might say conceit is unacceptable unto God. Whatever we are, we have no reason for bragging about it, because God made us what we are; we had nothing to do with it. Even a king is a king because God planned it. You see, that leaves us no room to brag.

The tongue is the most evil part of the body and to add lying to it really is terrible in God’s sight. Jesus is the truth.  Everything of God is based on truth, so you can see how awful it is to lie.  The hands should be used as tools of mercy, not as instruments of death to the innocent. You can easily see why these three top the list of sins that God hates.

Proverbs 6:18 “An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,”

The heart is either desperately wicked or pure. God will judge our hearts, not our deeds. These wicked imaginations here are speaking of people who imagine evil things which cause trouble for other people. “Feet” as in verse 13; in the Scripture of the evil man, we learned that an evil person is eager to get into all kinds of mischief.

Proverbs 6:19 “A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

In court, a false witness is said to purger himself. If the court finds that person has given a false witness, the court will prosecute him and he might even spend some time in jail. You see, giving a false testimony is a very serious crime. It can cause great pain and suffering to the individual the false witness is against.

In the Sermon on the Mount, we see blessed is the peacemaker. One who sows discord is the opposite of a peacemaker for he is a troublemaker.

Proverbs 6:20 “My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:” Proverbs 6:21 “Bind them continually upon thine heart, [and] tie them about thy neck.”

All of the things (the 7 abominations) are in direct contrast to keeping the commandments of father and mother. This we learned in Proverbs 3:1-3. Proverbs 3:1 “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:” Proverbs 3:2 “For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.” Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:” “So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.”

In verse 21, here, we see that God is telling us to never lose sight of His laws (commandments).  Our parents teach us the correct way to live. We should never grow too old to live up to the teachings of our parents.

“Thine heart” is better translated mind. The first thing to protect against the adulteress is not the body, but the mind.

Proverbs 6:22 “When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and [when] thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.”

We read that God, Himself, will write His laws upon the fleshly parts of our heart. God’s laws should be in our heart, not on a piece of paper.  This hanging it on the neck just means to me that we are to ever keep His laws before our face.

His laws shall lead us into paths of righteousness. When we are asleep, even our subconscious mind is stayed upon Him.

This parallels the 3 circumstances of life in Deut. 6:6-9 and 11:18, for which wisdom provides direction, protection, and meditation. The biblical instruction for parents prevents the entrance of evil by supplying good and true thoughts, even when sleeping.

Proverbs 6:23 “For the commandment [is] a lamp; and the law [is] light; and reproofs of instruction [are] the way of life:”

The law is light. Those who live for the Lord walk in the light as He is in the Light. Godly people love instructions in righteousness.

These all identify the Word of God which provides the wisdom leading to abundant and eternal life.

Proverbs 6:24 “To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.”

Parental instruction in wisdom is crucial to strengthen a person against the strong attraction of sexual sin. By loving truth and being elevated to wisdom, men are not seduced by lying flattery.

Proverbs 6:25 “Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.”

Sexual sin is rooted in lust (imagination of the sinful act), as implied in Exodus 20:17 and addressed by Christ in Matthew.

Matthew 5:28 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Fluttering eyelids have been used by sinful women for centuries to draw men to them. Prostitution is as old as the Bible, itself. It has been condemned from Genesis to Revelation. The whole book of Hosea is about a whorish woman. The woman in the instance in Hosea is speaking of Israel being unfaithful to God. Adultery (either spiritual or physical) has always been condemned of God. These few verses here are warning against falling into this type of sin.

Proverbs 6:26 “For by means of a whorish woman [a man is brought] to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.”

Here the smallest piece of bread demonstrates how the prostitute reduces the life of a man to insignificance, including the loss of his wealth, freedom, family, purity, dignity and even his soul.

Proverbs 6:27 “Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?” Proverbs 6:28 “Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?” Proverbs 6:29 “So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.”

Powerful metaphors are given here to describe the obvious danger and destructive consequences of adultery, showing that punishment is a natural and expected consequence.

We already touched on the dangers of living in sex sin in a previous lesson, but we see here that a man who touches his neighbor’s wife is in serious trouble with God. We spoke on the body being the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Verse 29 refers to a touch intended to inflame sexual passion. Paul uses the same expression with the same meaning in 1 Cor7:1.

Proverbs 6:30 “[Men] do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;” Proverbs 6:31 “But [if] he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.”

In these verses, it is not saying that it is not a sin to steal. It is saying a person has sympathy for someone who is so hungry that he steals to feed himself. If he is caught, the person he stole from will be happy to not prosecute him, if he will pay back what he stole 7 times.

The stealing here is not nearly as serious as the sin of adultery that we read of in the next few verses. Adultery is compared to a starving thief, who, though it may cost all he has, can make restitution and put the crime behind him permanently/

Proverbs 6:32 “[But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he [that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul.”

But for the adulterer, there is no restitution as there was for the thief, as he destroys his soul.

Proverbs 6:33 “A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.”

Adultery is a cruel crime. Love for each other is the most precious gift a man and woman have on this earth except for the gifts of God. There is something very special about a man and his wife being one. To invade on this privacy of a man and his wife is without excuse.

Proverbs 6:34 “For jealousy [is] the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.”

Jealousy is a very strong emotion, especially when it has to do with infidelity or rape. Song of Solomon has a scripture that might express this better.

Song. 8:6 “Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; Its frames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame.

Proverbs 6:35 “He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.”

A thief may satisfy his victim with an appropriate payment, but an offended husband cannot be bought off.

There is no money or gift that can repay this type of sinful act. The marriage of a man and his wife is likened unto the marriage of the Lord and His church. Just as anyone coming between the Lord and His church will not be permitted, neither is anyone to come between a man and his wife. It is unforgivable.

Proverbs 6 NKJV – Dangerous Promises – My son, if you – Bible Gateway

Proverbs 6New King James Version (NKJV)

Dangerous Promises

6 My son, if you become surety for your friend,
If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
You are snared by the words of your mouth;
You are taken by the words of your mouth.
So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;
For you have come into the hand of your friend:
Go and humble yourself;
Plead with your friend.
Give no sleep to your eyes,
Nor slumber to your eyelids.
Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.

The Folly of Indolence

Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain,
Overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest.
How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep?
10 A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to sleep—
11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.

The Wicked Man

12 A worthless person, a wicked man,
Walks with a perverse mouth;
13 He winks with his eyes,
He shuffles his feet,
He points with his fingers;
14 Perversity is in his heart,
He devises evil continually,
He sows discord.
15 Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.

16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Beware of Adultery

20 My son, keep your father’s command,
And do not forsake the law of your mother.
21 Bind them continually upon your heart;
Tie them around your neck.
22 When you roam, they will lead you;
When you sleep, they will keep you;
And when you awake, they will speak with you.
23 For the commandment is a lamp,
And the law a light;
Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
24 To keep you from the evil woman,
From the flattering tongue of a seductress.
25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,
Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.
26 For by means of a harlot
A man is reduced to a crust of bread;
And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life.
27 Can a man take fire to his bosom,
And his clothes not be burned?
28 Can one walk on hot coals,
And his feet not be seared?
29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife;
Whoever touches her shall not be innocent.

30 People do not despise a thief
If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving.
31 Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold;
He may have to give up all the substance of his house.
32 Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding;
He who does so destroys his own soul.
33 Wounds and dishonor he will get,
And his reproach will not be wiped away.
34 For jealousy is a husband’s fury;
Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35 He will accept no recompense,
Nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.
